Sisters Jill & Jo Clarke have both had a passion for horses since childhood, little did their parents know they would go on to make life long careers in the equine world! Both Jill & Jo have equine college qualifications providing them with a solid foundation of knowledge as well as a wealth of experience.
Jill
Jill has a focus on breeding and has bred some beautiful foals over the years, many going on to great success in showing as well as multiple qualifications for the Badminton Grass Roots Championships. Jill has a passion for Appaloosas and has bred many ‘spotty’ horses that have gone on to achieve success in many disciplines. Currently Jill’s young daughter Eleanor is having lots of success in dressage with her pony Joy!
Having studied at equine college Jill has formal qualifications alongside many years of knowledge in breeding and horse management, she’s always on hand to help liveries with questions on horse ownership.
Jo
Jo has competed internationally in eventing, producing her most successful horse Frankly from an unbroken 2 year old purchased at Malvern sales up to Advanced level. With a keen interest in coaching and horse and rider development, Jo offers lessons and training for liveries as well as those wanting to bring their horse to TEC for training. Holding the BHS A.I teaching qualification, Jo can help you to achieve your goals from training a young horse up to competition at higher levels.
The yard environment is supportive and encouraging, there is the opportunity to attend shows and fun rides and liveries are often out hacking together.
Breeding
The breeding bug began with their original broodmare ‘Bright Eyes’, Lady was a beautiful mad chestnut mare who became the heart of their equine family and when she produced three superb foals it gave Jill the motivation to study gene pools and blood lines and there began a love of Appaloosas and all things spotty!
One of the original stallions, ‘EBA Negative Equity’ known as Bryan, is an Appaloosa and has since being gelded, Bryan is currently enjoying a happy retirement.
Over the years Jill and Jo have bred multiple foals, many going on to compete at high levels in many disciplines from showing to eventing. A few offspring are listed below:
